You will wonder at times how she knew about you and a particular significant other because she seems to describe you and the relationship to a T. And, when you read the last page you will wish you had read it years and a number of relationships earlier.

I have read other books on this topic which spoke to me... This book, which I got in the Kindle version, pulled it all together for me--the biology, personal values, self identity, the human quest for belonging and intimacy. The book... brought to me great understanding. I wish I had ordered the paper version with the workbook. I ended up going back and ordering it.

“Marriage Made Easy” - Sunday September 8, 1:30PM PST - LATalkLive

This week's guest: Marilyn Christensen

What if you could have a marriage that required little to no effort? One that felt easy. One, that after 47 years of marriage, you and your spouse still held each other in high regard and deep love. Well, that is just what Marilyn has had with her husband for the past 47 years. Join us as we explore what factors make for this kind of marriage. Marilyn understands what it's like to live in phase four of The Pathway to Love—she has a transformational relationship. There's a lot we can learn from relationships that have gone "right."  Don't miss this one... It just might change your life!

About Marilyn:  Marilyn grew up in the Midwest on a farm, graduated from High School at 17, moved to California to live with her sister for a while, met her husband-to-be, instantly fell in love, stayed in California while her sister returned to the Midwest,  and raised her two sons in Torrance.  She has worked since she was 15 and has been married since barely turning 19.

Marilyn started her bookkeeping/notary business seven years ago. She has a home office where she loves to work and where people can bring their accounting needs. She will also go to people’s homes and businesses to do their bookkeeping onsite.  She is Quickbooks certified and a notary.

You can contact Marilyn at:  mkchristensen@socal.rr.com or call her home office at:  310-320-0783.

Marilyn says “I love my work and may be considered a workaholic, but the most important piece of my life is my family – especially my granddaughters.”

"Building Working Relationships in the Workplace" Sunday July 28, 1:30PM PST - LATalkLive

This week’s guest: Bob Ogilvy

Navigating relationships in the workplace can be difficult. There are individual personalities, group dynamics and organizational culture. Relationships are the primary source of joy and pain in the working environment. The job or task you are hired to do is relatively easy compared with the task of managing your business relationships. Remember, all relationships go through the same four phases of development whether they are your relationships at work or at home. Join me and my guest Bob Ogilvy as we explore how to build effective working relationships in the workplace (and what to do when you believe that is absolutely impossible). And by the way—you’ll quickly learn why we are the perfect pair to discuss this topic. See you Sunday!

About Bob: Bob Ogilvy's career has run the gamut from wayfaring wanderer to overachieving exec (wandering was more fun but the benefit package sucked).  He worked as a deejay, started a church, drove trucks, acted and did voice-work, got a master's degree and counseled at-risk teens, directed a non-profit, led cross-country adventure tours, and helped build (in succession) a billion-dollar theme park, a bio-plastics manufacturing plant, and a world-class hospital, in addition to wrangling horses and tangling with unions and alligators (alligators were easier).  Through it all, he kept his sense of humor, sharing the lessons he learned in his book "What I Know Now That I Wish I Knew Then: 22 Career Screw-ups to Help Turn Your Work Messes Into Successes". He created a system out of his adventures to help people discover what they are born to do and get paid to do it.  Check Bob out at www.whatbobknowsnow.com.
