You will wonder at times how she knew about you and a particular significant other because she seems to describe you and the relationship to a T. And, when you read the last page you will wish you had read it years and a number of relationships earlier.

I have read other books on this topic which spoke to me... This book, which I got in the Kindle version, pulled it all together for me--the biology, personal values, self identity, the human quest for belonging and intimacy. The book... brought to me great understanding. I wish I had ordered the paper version with the workbook. I ended up going back and ordering it.

“Women, Body Image, Romance and Aging” - Sunday October 20, 1:30PM PST - LATalkLive

This Week’s Guest: Joanna Poppink, MFT

Women don’t get older, they get better! As a woman who has entered her 50’s, I can tell you this is absolutely true. But for some women, aging has its challenges. A woman needs to deal with changes in her body, heart and soul as she moves through each decade of life. Every woman has her own journey, her own story to tell. Join me and my guest Joanna Poppink, MFT as we explore all the riches, gifts, joys and sorrows that come with aging. Whether you are a woman who is older in years or will be one day, this is a topic you won’t want to miss. And for those of you that have a woman in your life who you love, this show will shed light on the mysteries that come with learning who this woman is as she journeys through life.

About Joanna:  Joanna Poppink, MFT, is a licensed psychotherapist with an active Los Angeles private practice. She also offers Skype consultations worldwide. Joanna has more than twenty-five years of experience specializing in treating adults with eating disorders. She suffered from bulimia for many years, found recovery and uses both her professional expertise and personal knowledge to support her clients to a life of freedom and fulfillment.

She studied journalism at Northwestern University, psychology at UCLA, Antioch and the Saybrook Institute.

She lives in Los Angeles where, in addition to her writing, lecturing and private practice, she finds time for improvisational theater, gardening, and playing on the beach with her family.

She corresponds with women throughout the world via her website, lectures and provides seminars to organizations and community groups in her ongoing efforts to support eating disorder recovery and allow opportunity for men and women to live a life of joy and freedom.
