You will wonder at times how she knew about you and a particular significant other because she seems to describe you and the relationship to a T. And, when you read the last page you will wish you had read it years and a number of relationships earlier.

I have read other books on this topic which spoke to me... This book, which I got in the Kindle version, pulled it all together for me--the biology, personal values, self identity, the human quest for belonging and intimacy. The book... brought to me great understanding. I wish I had ordered the paper version with the workbook. I ended up going back and ordering it.

“Gratitude: 'Tis the Season” Sunday October 24, 1:30PM PST– LATalkLive

This Week’s Guest: YOU!

Thanksgiving is the time of year we stop and reflect on all the things for which we are grateful. And while practicing gratitude is a year round job, let's take advantage of the opportunity to formally reflect on the people, things and experiences that bring joy, appreciation and love into our lives, our relationships, and our world.

I will bring my list and invite you to call or write in and share yours. You just might be surprised at some of the things that made our lists this year!

And for those of you that want to read this week's article on gratitude, go to www.JulieOrlov.com/Settling-In. It will be posted on Monday November 25!

See you Sunday!!

This week’s Guest: Tamar Colen, LCSW

Being a parent under the best of circumstances is challenging. Parenting is filled with highs and lows and brings challenges to the relationship between parents. When you have a child or children with special needs, the challenges multiply. Please join me and my guest, Tamar Colen, LCSW as we discuss the journey that families travel from the time of diagnosis to acceptance. We will be exploring the different ways individuals, couples, siblings and extended family members react, adapt, manage, and celebrate life as they know it. You will learn what gifts are available to those that travel these waters and what can help you stay afloat during the difficult times.

If you or someone you know have any family members with special needs, tune in and join the conversation!

This week’s Guest: Jean Franzblau, actress, playwright, corporate trainer and producer of “Coming Out Kinky”

Sexuality is defined in many ways. Some like it hot, some like it not. The journey toward sexual maturity is not as straight forward as you may think. There are many people who suffer from shame, fear and isolation as they begin to experiment with different approaches to sexual relationships and their own sexual proclivities. Join me and my guest Jean Franzblau as we discuss the various ways people enjoy and explore their sexuality, including how to find your way to a healthy relationship with your own sexuality and sexual preferences. This will be one stimulating conversation and one you won’t want to miss (although viewer discretion is advised, especially for those under aged).

As a corporate professional, Jean has given presentations on topics such as customer service, communicating with diplomacy and stress management in six countries for up to three hundred people. As an artist, she started off as a kid performer in Hollywood, Florida. After UCLA and a summer of study at the Neighborhood Playhouse, Jean was cast as Libby in Neil Simon's I Ought To Be in Pictures at the Long Beach Playhouse. She also won the part of Darcy in the NBC telefilm, Her Last Chance, with Jenna Elfman and Kelly Martin. Jean debuted her YouTube film, Internet Dating thirteen years ago. With film festival screenings and pitch meetings under her belt, Jean has produced thirty-three more videos along with the preview theatrical production of Coming Out Kinky.
